Belle Epoque portrait of a young oriental beauty was executed by listed French painter Jan (Jean) Baptiste Felix France (1812 Dijon - 1903). First pupil of the School of Drawing of Dijon, and then studied in Paris by Cabanel. He exhibited at the Salon de Paris in 1870 - 1880 with portraits, including those of Mr. and J.Cornu Carraud (now - in museum of Dijon), and a genre painting : Danae.
