Masterfully painting on porcelain was executed in 19th century on world- renowed Royal porcelain manufacture KPM in Berlin. The painting was executed after famous work by German artist August Riedel (1799 - 1863) "Sakuntala". Sakuntala is the beauty from Sanskrit play by Kalidasa (ca. 4th century CE.). The poet discovered in a book of the Mahabharata, the ancient story of the beautiful Shakuntala, the mother of King Bharata, and wrote, inspired by the epic depiction of the mythology of the Hindus, the verse drama.This love drama tells epic story of King Dushyanta, who during the hunting met Shakuntala, a girl from an ascetic hermit in forset and was in love.
