Original design for an elaborate Italianate ceiling , probabbly for a one of noble palaces in the Viennese Ringstrasse was executed ca. 1880s by listed Austrian architect of Czech origin Adolf Ginzel (1854 pilzen - 1925 Baden by Vienna). The artist studied architecture in Praque, since 1889 - in Vienna as architect and professor of art school, lived some years in Italy. He was also outstanding researcher of ancient monuments.

Inscription: on the reverse of the paper - old label with the German inscription: "A.Ginzel, Wien. Entwurf zu Deckmalaerei" (in translation: "A..Ginzel, Vienna, Design to the celling")
