Excellent portrait of a semi-naked girl with the turned face, a symbol of innocence from end of 19th century. This museum quality painting was executed by good listed French painter Leon Auguste Cesar Hodebert (1852 St.Michel-sur-Seine - 1914 Neuilly-sur-Seine). He worked in Lille , where was professor of Ecole de B.-arts . In 1877-1908 he exhibited at the Paris Salon (Soc. des Art.franc.) with portraits, genre works, nude paintings and lithographs. Many times was awarded with medalls including the bronze medal by World Exhibition in 1900. In museum of Rouen is situated one of his portraits.(Cat., 1919).
