Lovely portrait of a drinker was executed by listed Munich portrait and genre painter and restorer Ernst Stierhof (born 1918 in Munich). Son of the architect Hans Stierhof, in his Munich early time studied by his uncle, first as a goldsmith, 1936 winner in the competition of imperial goldsmith in 1938 , graduated with first Prize, participation in the war in France, Russia and Africa, 1945-48 - as american prisoner of war, then as a freelance artist and restorer of the private collection at castle Weissenstein in Pommersfelden, active in Gruenwald near Munich.
