Nice impressionistic scene with chidren by the forest stream was executed by good listed Hungarian-Austrian portrait and genre artist Eduard (Edo) Komlosy (1862 - 1910). Son of the artist Franz Komlosy senior, brother of the artist Franz Komlosy junior and female artist Ida Komlosy. His first training he recievedby Hans Canon, then studied at the Academy by Ch.Griepenkerl, S.l´Allemand, A.Eisenmenger. later he was master pupil by Gyala Benczur in Budapest. in 1893 he returned to Vienna to paint the portrait of Archduchess Carolina in full regalia as head of the women´s monastery in Prague. From 1902 to 1910 he lived and worked in USA. In his later years he settled in Oberwolfsbach in Lower Austria.
