Masterfully genre scene ”Voltaire and the card readers” was executed 1891 in Munich by good listed and high quoted German painter Hans Buchner (1856 Stuttgart - 1941 Munich). The artist studied: at the Academies in Stuttgart by Jakob Grünewald und Carl von Häberlin and at the Academy in Munich by Alexander Wagner. Lived in Munich since 1880. Took part in exhibitions in the "Munich glass palace" (1906) and at the Munich Secession (1908). Drew out through life near historical genre scenes and motives of flowers.
