Our alpine landscape with a waterfall was executed ca. 1840 in the manner , which is very close to the works of most important Austrian landscape and animal painter of 19th century Friedrich Gauermann (1807 - 1862). Time of creation , material of the work (oil on paper), structure of brushstroke , compositive distribution and coloristic resemblance show all specifictions for attribution of this work to the hand of Friedrich Gauermann.
