A pair of seascape paintings, created in the end of 19 - beginning of 20 century, depicts evening and day Crimea coast with sailing boats. The author - Russian landscape and marine painter Nikolay Dmitrieff. Studied and worked in St.Petersburg in the late 19th century - early 20th century. His biographical dates are not fully known, but in the famous Russian monography "Artists of Russian Salon. 1850 - 1917" (St.Petersburg, 2004) was represented a lot of his landscapes and seascapes including from the Crimea.
Probably this painter is identical with Landscape painter Nikolay Wassiljevitch Dmitriev (1867-after 1917), few landscape works incl.biography in Russian represanted under following link
