High qualitative early miniature of a young beautiful lady with backdrop landscape was executed ca. 1800 in the style of famous Italian-Russian miniaturist Johann Dominik Bossi (1767 Trieste -1853 Munich), also known under Domenico Bossi . He was born in Trieste, studied by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo and worked primarily as miniature painter in Germany, Austria, Sweden and Russia before he settled down in Munich. In Russia he was court painter and was achnowledged as one of the best painter of Russian noble portraits. Hios works situated in Russian Museum and Hermitage, both - in St.Petersburg. Inscription: unsigned, on the reverse - old memory inscription in French about the sitter "Madam Reine Perret, born 1780, mother of 19 (!) children, married with count Perret..." .
