Romantical scene with lovers on the evening terrace was executed in Vienna by renowed and high listed Austrian genre painter Carl Schweninger (1854 - Vienna - 1903). Sohn of artist Carl Schweninger senior and brother of female artist Rosa Schweninger. At first he studied by his father, later in Viennese and Munich Academies. He painted with preference scenes from the Rococo time, oriental, historical and nude genre scenes and also worked with success in the field of sculpture. His genre works sold with high results by different international auction houses.
