This masterfully Belle Epoque bronze figure was executed ca.1875-1899 by two French listed sculptors : Adrien Etienne Gaudez (1845 Lyon - 1902 Neuilly -sur-Seine) Albert-Ernest Carrier - Belleuse (1824-1887). The figure signed titled and twice signed : on the plaque in the front of base . "La Melodie"; on the right side: "A.Carrier-Belleuse, hors concours"(in English: standout); above on the base: "A.Gaudez".
