This painting came from the same Munich private collection as item No. 2749 - 2756 and was executed by listed German genre and portrait painter Hrvoi Melkus, born 1924 in Zagreb in the family of landscape painter Dragan Hrovi , settled in Munich , where recieved acknowledge for his genre scenes with Bavarian folk types .
Inscription: signed lower left, on the reverse - old label of art gallery Franz fischer in Stuttgart and label with short bio of the artist.
Technique: oil on wood panel, original gold-plated period frame.
Measurements: image w 9 7/8 " x h 12 1/4" (25 x 31 cm); framed w 15 1/6" x h 17 1/2 " (38,5 x 44,5 cm)
