Large portrait painting from the second half of 19th century depicting a young lady posed on the terasse of a palast garden. Due to the style , composition and quality this painting was attributed to the hand of famous Austrian portrait and historical painter Heinrich Angeli (1840 - 1925 Vienna). Angeli studied at the Viennese academy since 1854. , then in Duesseldorf by M.Leutze , since 1859 in Munich as Bavarian court painter until 1862 . in the same year he returned to Vienna where became in follow as one of most asked artists in circle of high society. In 1870 came his historical painting "Denied Ablolution". Later,Angeli devoted exclusively to portrait. The elegance of his speech, the elegant arrangements and dazzling costume work made him also acknowledge by buyers from highest circles so that he became a busy portrait painter in the royal courts in Vienna, London and St. Petersburg . 1876 he received a professorship at the Vienna Academy.
