Large beautiful genre painting depicting a young nude girl arranging her hair in front of the mirror was created by famous Austrian genre, portrait and landscape painter Raimund Germela (1868-1945). Germela was a pupil of Vienna Academy where he studied under Leopold Karl Mueller and J.M. Trenkwald. In the following years he lived in Paris, England and three years in Italy. He frequently exhibited his genre scenes from Parisian life and landscapes in Vienna. In 1900-1906 Germela was a member of Hagenbund and from 1911 - a member of the Vienna Artists´ Unit. The artist is listed in the dictionary "Austrian Painters of the 19th Century" by Prof.H.Fuchs, Vienna, 1973.
