Nice rococo genre scene was executed by good listed German painter August Hermann Knoop, born in 1856 in Dusseldorf. In 1876-80 he studied at the Munich Academy and in 1886-88 worked under the tutelage of Cormon in Paris. Later Knoop worked in Munich and was adored for his genre scenes from the 18th century. Knoon frequently exehibited his works.
