Masterfully scene with hunters and hunted deers on the bank of an Alpine lake was executed before 1840s in the style of well renowned Austrian landscape and animal painter of Biedermeier Epoch Friedrich Gauermann (1807 - 1862). The time of creation , style of the painting and the fact, that among famous and illustrated original paintings by F. Gauermann are the not any identical work, after which the author could create this painting , said for the opinion, that our hunting scene is the work of the painter from the circle of F.Gauermann. With with certain probability it can be created by his eldger brother Carl Gauermann (1804 - 1829), who travelled and studied autodidact together with Friedrich on their early trips to Austrian Alpine areas in 1820s.
