A pair of genre waterclours by the famous Russian-German painter Wilhelm Velten (1847 St.Petersburg - 1929 Munich), pupil of the Art Academy in St.Petersnburg (1867-69), and Academy in Munich under W.Diez (1870) Settled to Munich and made the name for his scenes with rider, soldats, hunters and military camp life from 17-18th century. His works are situated in the Fine Arts Academy in Buffalo, in the New Pinacothek,in the City Gallery in Munich and in the State Gallery Praque.
