Two excellent portraits of young brothers (miniatures on ivory in fire plated bronze frames) were executed in 1837 by good listed French miniature artist Jean Pierre Robelot ( born 1802 Lothringen). He studied by Mansion, exhibited in 1827-1850 in Paris.

Inscription: both signed and dated 1837.
Technique: each: gouache on ivory. Magnificent original period bronze gold-plated frames.
Measurements: each unframed w 2" x h 1 1/2" (5 x 3,8 cm), framed w 3 1/2" x h 2 1/2" (9 x 6,5 cm)
