Military portrait miniature on ivory was executed ca. in 1830-1840s by the represantative of French school in the style and in the life time of renowed portrait and miniature artist Louis Leopold Boilly (1761 - 1845 Paris). The miniature signed indistinctly on the reverse (see additional photo).Due to the expertise of famous uniform expert Mr. S.Ljujin, Moscow, the miniature depicts young staff officer of the French mounted chasseurs, around 1830 around 1830! Likely of 5th Regiment.
