Masterfully empire portrait of the French young lady Adele , due to the original memory inscription of his husband, written in French on the reverse of painting, was painted by the author in 1803 , in the year of the birth of their daughter. (see additional photo of inscription). The author of this painting classicist painter Henri Nicolas van Gorp or Vangorp (1756 - after 1819) was famous portrait and miniature painter in Paris between 18th and 19th centuries , he studied by Boilly, from 1793 to 1819 regular exhibited his works by the Paris Salon . His portraits, miniatures were many time engraved by Ph.L.Debucourt, Ruotte, Masquelier and Launay. His works situated in the Museum of Rouen and Museum of St.Omer.
