Lovely genre bronze was executed by German sculptor Franz Iffland. He was especially famous for his portrait busts and genre bronze figures, which were exhibited at the Berlin Academy Exhibition in 1886, 88, 90, 92, 93.

Technique: Bronze, reddish brown patina, on a dark brown marble base

Inscription: Signed on the base: F.Iffland.

Measurements: height of figure 7in (17.7cm); total height 10 1/2in (26.7cm)

Condition: figure in good condition, a bit of discoloration on the left leg, second skate and bow a bit bent, marble with minor chips and glued onto an additional, possibly later black marble foot
