Print work (Europa Edition , Vienna, 1968) with 10 original lithographies in one briefcase by famous Jewish-Austrian stage designer, illustrator and cartoonist Heinrich Sussmann ( 1904-1986) with text by Manfred Vogel. The work is full, numbered 8in pencil) by the artist from 1 to 10 , hand signed and dated : H.Sussmann,(19)68.Heinrich Sussmann, the Viennese artist , origin from Galizian (west-ukrainian) Jewish family , created drawings and then lithographies to the famous "Anatevka". Anatevka can be not find on the regular mapps , but this story from the village life in the Tsar Russia with its jewish Getto fates made literature and theater history. . Anatevka is based on world renowed story by great Jewish author Sholem Aleichem "Tevye the Milkman" and others. In America was created the musical "Fiddler on the Roof" after this literary collecting main, which conquered fast the stages of the world . Marc Chagal created this sphere of Sholem Alejchems in his famous paintings.Heinrich Sussmann ( 1904-1986) studied graphic and painting in Paris, Stage painting and interior architecture - in Vienna. First exhibition took place in paris 1926. He exhibited in Cairo (1927) and in Berlin (1928). from 1929 to 1933 - worked as caricature illustrator by Ullstein in Berlin. From 1933 to 1939 - as iluustrator and stage designer in Paris. from 1941 to 1944 - he fought again fascism in French Resistance movement. 1944 he was arrested by Gestapo; over military prison Fresnes was intervened to Auschwitz . 1945 back to Vienna. Creates itself as stage designer, graphiker , painter a name. Participation followed to exhibitions and self-exhibitions inland and abroad.His works are in museums and private property in Austria and in the foreign country. Many prices and honours .
