High quality miniature on ivory by listed Sudenten German miniaturist Emil Simchen (b.1882) after famous painting "Self-portrait" by celebrated French classicist Jean - Baptiste Isabey ( 1767 Nancy - 1855 Paris), which situated in Louvre, Paris. The author of our masterfully miniature Emil Simchen was born in Kaltenbach/Bohemia, studied in the Arts&Crafts School in Teplitz/Schoenau, worked as glass painter in Strassbourg and Munich , later studied pastel and miniature technique and became acknowledge for his miniatures on ivory.
