High quality miniature on ivory of a young French nobleman , originally mounted in a gold-plated brooch, the miniature was executed in 1782 by listed French miniature artist francois Hippolyte Debuissons, listed in Benezit Dictionary as member of academy St.Luc and active in Paris in 1770-17780s.

Inscription: signed with autors monogram H.D. and dated 1782 lower right.
Technique: Gouache on ivory. Original period gold-plated ronze frame, backside as mirror.
