Biedermeier portrait miniature was executed ca. in 1840s and due to the due to style and time of creation to famous Austrian portrait and miniature female painter Marie Kraafft (1812 Vienna - 1885 Villach), pupil of her father famous Viennese artist Johann Peter Krafft. Already at the age of four years she began to training by her father to draw From her twelfth year of life Marie received lessons and instruction in the portrait watercolor and oil . Thomas Ender trained her iin landscape watercolor and Dewerth in lithography. 1836 traveled she with her father to Venice. 1840 married she the bank clerk F. Troll. From 1847 she predominantly painted copies of old masters from the Picture Gallery in Vienna in watercolor. Her best approx. 200 works, which possesses partially that Historical Museum of the City Vienna hand near to the works.of one of the best Austrian portrait watercolour artist Josef Kriehuber.Provenance: Viennese noble estate .
