Masterfull watercolour - study of grapes was executed by good listed still life painter of Dutch origin Leopold von (van) Stoll (b.1808). He was active in 1828 in Poland, Warsaw and Cracow and in 1830 - 1834 in Russian Empire, St. Petersburg , where he was busy designing floral arrangements for the Botanic Gardens. In 1834 the artist came to Austria to get popular acclaim for his wonderful paintings of flowers and fruits. Ermitage in St.Petersburg have a few his still life and flowers paintings in the collection ( Cataloque of Ermitage , 1901).
