Our painting was executed by a famous Austrian genre, portrait and landscape artist Max von Poosch-Gablenz, born 1872 (died in Vienna in 1968), 1889-1893 studied in Vienna Academy under Franz Rumpler, travelled in Europe and in former Austro-Hungarn Empire. Since 1906 he had been a member of Vienna Artists Unit. Two of his paintings are located in Historical Museum in Vienna. The artist was awarded with Small Golden State Medal (1908), Big Golden State Medal (1911), Reichel-Prize and with the title of professor in 1932. The painter is listed in H. Fuchs "Lexicon of Austrian painters" and V.Trautzl "Max von Poosch, Leben und Werk".
