Beautiful Art Nouveau portrait of a young woman wearing pearls and laces was executed in 1914 by good-listed Czech portrait and genre painter Josef Zenisek (1855 Prague -1944). The artist studied at the Prague and Munich Academy and later worked in Paris and Rome. In 1935 his works were exhibited at a personal exhibition in Prague. Josef Zenisek is listed in the General Dictioinary of Artists from Antiquity to the Present by Thieme/Becker, Leipzig 1999 and in the Dictionary of Czech Artists by Dr.P.Toman, Prague 1950.
