Masterfully painted still life was executed in the first half of 19th century by Austrian well known painter Franz Xaver Petter (1791 Vienna - 1866 Vienna). This painting was confirmed as original Petter`s work by the expert for 19th century paintings Mrs. Dr. R.Baljohr , auction house Bassenge, Berlin. Franz Xaver was a leading Austrian flower painter in the 1st half of 19th century. He was a pupil of J.B. Drechsler and S. Wegmayr at the Vienna Academy; from 1814 - taught at the School of Flower Drawing of the Academy; from 1832 was a Professor of the Drawing School of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory, and from 1835 - its Director.His flower paintings were very popular in Austrian high society circles. Today, they belong to the most esteemed museum collections in Austria and worldwide. They achieve remarkable prices at the international art auction market.
