Large still life with antiques, fruits and Ming porcellain bowl was executed on the turn of 18/19th centuries by the follower of important Flemish painter of Baroque Era Jan Fyt (1611 - Antwerpen - 1661). Our painting was painted in academical quality as a part of famous painting by Jan Fyt "Still life with a boy" (situated in the Art History (Kunsthistorichen) Museum , Vienna).

Jan Fyt was a pupil of Franz Snyders and until 1631 worked in his workshop . 1629/30 he became the member of the the Lukasgilde. From 1633 to 1634 he lived in Paris and undertook a journey to Italy. He became acknowledge by the contemporaries as renown hunt still life painter. Also animal pictures and fruit and flower quiet lives belong to his preferential motives.
