Fine portrait of a nobleman against the background of a romantic landscape was created by Austrian historical and genre painter Heinrich Stegmeyer, active in Vienna in 1797-1830s. In 1797 and 1798 he received  the first and the second prizes of the Vienna Academy.

Inscription: signed Heinrich Stegmeyer and dated 1834, lower right
