Impressionistic still life with lilac was executed by very good listed Austrian female painter Stassa Kovacevic (Kovacevich), born in 1888 in Constantinople, died in 1945 in Vienna. After study at the greek-catholic high school in Constantinople she came to Paris and later to Vienna , where studied at the Woman Academy . In the next years she travelled a few times to Orient and Balkans, later to Germany and France. A lot of her paintings were purchased by Prince of and to Liechtenstein and by City Vienna. She was a member of the Austrian Artist Union since 1924 and exhibited own works : at the 11th exhibition of Austrian Artist Unon, Vienna, 1917 (paintings "Turkish cafe in Paris", "Still life with Apples", "Constantinople"); at the 19th yearly exhibition in 1925 ( oil painting "Bath Kuchelau") and at the 4 yearly exhibition of Austrian painter union in 1926.
