Genre painting with half nacked beauty by a forest brook was executed ca. in 1870(6?)and due to provenance and composition was attributed to Slovenian genre and portrait female painter Auguste Santel (1852 Stainz - 1935 Ljubljana/Slowenia) .

Inscription: signed with female first name (as it admits, female painters of 19 century signed own works enough often with their first names).

Technique: oil on canvas. Original period gilt wood frame.
