Portrait miniature on ivory - portrait of countess Konigsmark, executed in 1842 by very renowned Austrian painter and graphic artist Albert Decker (1817 - 1871), who lived and worked in Vienna . He painted oil portraits and miniature portraits and as graphic artist he is known for his lithographs. He was also active as a stage designer. Albert Decker came from a famous Viennese artist family.

Technique: gouache on ivory. Original period gilt bronze frame.
Measurements: unframed w 3 1/8" x h 4 " (8 x 10 cm), framed w 5 3/4" x h 6 1/4" ( 14,5 x 16cm).
Condition: in good condition, no cracks or restorations. |
